What the law says in Nevada
The Freedom to Display the American Flag Act of 2005 (Public Law 109-243) preempts HOA rules that flatly prohibit displaying the U.S. flag on an owner's lot. The HOA may still impose reasonable restrictions on size, height, and lighting. State flags, military flags, and political signs are governed by state law and the CC&Rs.
